To Be an Imitator

As children of God our desire should be to imitate our heavenly Father. Children adore their father and want to grow up to be like him. A Father is always a good influence to show children how to love others, which is what we are called to do. We are not called to judge, but to show the love of God to the unlovable and unwanted.

Jesus shows us how to be imitators of God. "If you had known me, you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him." John 14:7 Jesus shows us the Father's heart, His will, and His holiness.

He is so LOVING! He is the definition of it! God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die in our place so we could have eternal life! Love!

Jesus shows us the Father's will. It's always God's will for people to be healed, delivered, and saved! "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"  2 Peter 3:9.

He is HOLY! He is a good Father but He cannot look away from sin. He's a just God. He desires His children to be holy also. We must get rid of all malice and evil in our hearts and lives. There is no one like Him! We are His dwelling place, children of The Light! NOT of darkness. "For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light" Ephesians 5:8

God wants to move in and through us. We must allow the Holy Spirit to do a work in us. Let the Holy Spirit fill you afresh today! Let Him pour His love into you, and then pour it out on others! He wants your heart! Call on Him, repent, and walk in His ways! He loves you!
